Sync

Grid Note Sync is a service we launched to automatically sync and backup notes across all platforms and devices. It is not a centralized server in the traditional sense, you can think of it as renting a data relay device that is online in real time.

To start syncing, you need to sign up for a Grid Note account and subscribe to become a paid member of Grid Note.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I use Grid Note on only one device, do I need a sync service?

No, sync is only required when using Grid Note on multiple devices.

The Sync service can be used as a backup method when used on a single device. When you have to change or restore your device, simply download Grid Note and log in to your account, and the data will all be downloaded. This is why we recommend that you purchase a membership subscription.

What if the sync keeps failing to complete?

Although we do our best to keep the sync service safe and secure, there are times when there are minor server issues. If the server is offline, please try restarting the app, and if the sync still doesn't start, please be patient and we'll usually fix it within 24 hours. Don't worry, Grid Note is designed with offline priority so that you can continue to use it normally without internet connection. When the sync service is restored, the data will automatically start syncing again.
